Many of the clients I work with are navigating the lasting effects of trauma, stress, and emotional overwhelm, often while carrying responsibilities for their families, careers, and communities. If you’ve been feeling stuck, constantly on edge, or unsure how to move forward, you’re not alone.

As a therapist, I specialize in helping individuals process trauma, reduce emotional distress, and move beyond survival mode into a place of relief and stability. My work is especially grounded in supporting individuals from communities of color who may have experienced stigma around mental health or difficulty finding care that truly feels understanding and affirming.

My approach focuses on getting to the root of what you’re experiencing, not just managing symptoms, but helping you process and heal from underlying experiences that continue to impact your daily life. I utilize evidence-based approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

EMDR is widely recognized as an effective treatment for trauma and PTSD, helping the brain process and reduce the emotional intensity of past experiences. IFS helps you better understand and work with the different “parts” of yourself, especially the ones connected to past pain, protective behaviors, or internal conflict, so you can experience greater clarity, self-compassion, and emotional balance.

In our work together, you can expect a space that is supportive, collaborative, and grounded in trust. I view therapy as a partnership, where you are the expert of your experiences, and I support you with the tools, structure, and guidance needed to move forward.

My goal is to help you experience meaningful relief, build emotional resilience, and feel more in control of your life.

"I believe that the representation of BIPOC mental health practitioners is a catalyst for overcoming the stigma of mental illness and treatment in BIPOC communities. There can be a level of comfort that one feels when working with a provider that they feel share significant social identities and intersections with."
