Current Career Opportunities:

Outpatient Mental Health Therapist-Independent Contractor

Position Description:

The need for trauma informed, culturally responsive mental health care is growing, and we are growing our team so we can continue to meet the demand. Village Support Therapy and Consulting is excited to add additional Mental Health Therapists to our dynamic team. As a Mental Health Therapist at Village Support Therapy and Consulting, you will be joining a team that is dedicated to providing trauma informed, culturally responsive care, with a focus on working with individuals from marginalized groups.

Village Support Therapy and Consulting was founded in response to the growing need for diverse cultural representation in mental health care in the state of Minnesota. Namely, in response to events that have taken place throughout the state that have caused elevated levels of racial trauma and stress. Additionally, we were founded on the belief that diverse representation in mental health care is one of the keys to eliminating the stigma around seeking mental health treatment in marginalized communities. We have developed a good reputation in providing good quality care and have become well sought out for our culturally responsive mental health service models.

As a Mental Health Therapist at Village Support Therapy and Consulting you will be providing outpatient therapy in a private practice setting. In order to eliminate any barriers to client care, you will have the opportunity to operate on a hybrid model, providing services via telehealth and/or in our shared office spaces. Due to the nature of the work and our commitment to meeting the needs of our clients, you will have the opportunity to have a flexible schedule, which allows for you to balance this opportunity with other obligations. As a Contracted Mental Health Therapist, you get to choose how many hours you want to put in a week; compensation is based on a reimbursement rate, which is based on the number of completed client sessions each week. There are several great benefits that you will receive as a member of our team, including administrative and business support, insurance credentialing and billing support, marketing support and a steady flow of referrals to grow your caseload. Also, if you are working towards your clinical licensure (LICSW), you can receive some supervision hours from our Founder and Lead Clinical Therapist, who is board certified to provide clinical supervision by the Minnesota Board of Social Work.
