Associate Therapist
I always live by the term "What happened to you?" instead of "What is wrong with you?" Our society has a habit of labeling people without knowing the full story. I focus on using a trauma-informed care approach to grasp the full story of my clients. My style is using compassion and empathy to address current issues with clients.
As BIPOC individuals, it is important to focus on our mind, body, and spirit as a holistic method for healing. Acknowledging our historical trauma and learning to heal from it empowers our community and fosters resilience. I have always been passionate about minority health disparities, and I have a background in health education, advocacy, disability, and mental health.
My goal is to instill pride in clients so that they can become advocates of their own health and well-being. My focus will be to create a supportive and safe environment where clients can grow and thrive.
